I’m not going to pretend I don’t care about who gets elected. This election does matter. But here is the thing… If I spend all my time being anxious and stressed isn’t going to change the outcome. And honestly, I have no control over the outcome. Instead of buying into the high stakes, fear filled rhetoric, I am choosing to focus on what I can control. I can control what I consume. I did my civic duty and voted. May no one take for granted the privilege to vote. However, may no one find their hope in elections and in those who are running to be elected. No matter who you vote for or who wins any of the elected offices, God is in control. God has already predestined the winner of 2024 elections. Just like God has been in control of every previous election in history. God is not and will not be surprised by any outcome. He is working all things for our good even when you can’t see it in the moment.
